Chief Financial Officer

Masroor Mahmud is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Air Products Qudra (APQ) – a Joint Venture between Air Products and Vision Invest. In his current role, Masroor plays a pivotal role by overseeing financial strategies, risk management, and fiscal planning. Responsible for optimizing capital structure, he ensures financial viability and profitability, providing strategic insights to drive sound decision-making. Collaborating closely with executive leadership, he supports in navigating complex financial landscapes, fostering transparency, and establishing financial controls, contributing to the joint venture's overall success and sustainable growth.

Prior to joining APQ in January 2024, Masroor was an 18-year veteran of General Electric (GE). His career began in 2006 when he joined the Financial Management Program in Europe. He then got selected in the Corporate Audit Staff where he progressed to take multiple global assignments in Aviation, Power, Corporate and Research divisions globally. He then served as Global Financial Planning leader for PII Pipeline Solutions (JV between GE and Qatar Petroleum). He was then appointed as Chief Financial Officer for GE Pakistan where he supported the business growth for Power, Renewable Energy, Aviation, Healthcare & Transportation businesses. Masroor then took the role of Executive Director for Localization in Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, Pakistan & India in Baker Hughes, a GE Company (now Baker Hughes). In his last role, he was appointed as the President & CEO of GE Pakistan, Afghanistan & Iran since March 2020. He was responsible for driving GE’s growth in these markets whilst focusing on enhancing talent development, ensuring risk management, and building a strong brand, through longterm, strategic partnerships. 

Masroor has been an active member of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) and US-Pakistan Business Council (USPBC). Masroor holds a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honors) degree with major in Mathematics & Business Administration and specialization in Economics from University of Waterloo, Canada.
