Mr. Demetrios (Jim) Kourpas

Demetrios (Jim) Kourpas is the Director of Operations for Air Products Qudra.

Jim joined Air Products in 1986 holding various roles within Air Products in the Engineering and Operations organizations across multiple technologies including Air Separation, HYCO, LNG, and Electronics. Jim has held positions in startup engineering, process engineering, plant process engineering and plant management roles. Prior to his current position, Jim held roles as the Director of Operations and Maintenance for Gas Integrated Company (GIC) in Jazan Saudi Arabia, a joint venture between Air Products and ACWA, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the industrial gases facility serving Saudi Aramco in Jazan, Manager and Customer Plant Support Operations Specialist in the Customer Plant Support Equipment and Sales Organization, Area Operations Manager LaPorte, Texas, and Global Plant Process Engineering Manager Electronics Materials.

In the current position, Jim will be responsible for the safe operations and reliability of the facility while overseeing many of a business's activities, directing and coordinating actions across the Operations organization and supporting departments while identifying areas of improvement across the business.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University.
